Lending Library

The library feature of the month is The Tuneables: I Love Music, a DVD and CD set.

This DVD is a 30 minute intro to music given by animated instrument people who live in a colorful musical town.  Although the DVD cover says this is good for ages 3-8, I would recommend it as an introduction to music for young kids–ages 2-5.  The music is a bit repetitive, but the characters are eye catching and the concepts are presented in a very logical, tiny step by tiny step progression.  My kids like it very much, and I do too as long as I don’t have to sit and watch the whole thing with rapt attention!  We’d be happy to share it with you.
